STIG Jiangsu Machinery Imp.&Exp.Corp.Ltd.(SUMEX),an entity with independent legal qualification ,which changed its original name Jiangsu Machinery Imp.&Exp.Group Corp.in Dec .1996,is the core and subsidiary enterprise of Jiangsu Sainty International Group (STIG).
STIG,whose net assets exceeding RMB 300 million ,is one of the 21 key group enterprises in Jiangsu province.It s total import and export volume in 1998 exceeded 600 million US Dolllars, and ranked 41st among the 500 national largest IMp.&Exp.enterprises ,and 31st among the 100 largest export enterprises in China.
STIG Sumex,depending on it s actual strength accumulated in the twenty-odd years development ,backed by the superiority of the Group s capital management and the commodity management of herself,shape her own characteristics of management by taking trade as her main business, entity as her foundation, service trade as her. The export of machinery,electronics,instruments and meters,hand tools,vehicles,vessels and light-textiles is the main line of the company,at the same time,we also process according to customer s drawing and samples.Import business covers all fields of china s national economy.In recent years,we pay special attention to importing infrastracture projects such as electronics,communication and raw materials,etc.In 1997 the total import and export volume hit 211,24 million in US Dollars.We were listed 117th among the nation s 500 largest import and export enterprises.There are more than 250 staff members in the company(including 74 of all kinds of senior and medium titles of technical and professional post, 80 of university record of schooling, where as 7 of them are MBAs.)8 functional departments,14 business departments,6 wholly-owned enterprises, 6 share-holding enterprises and 3 overseas companies.
Owing to our special attention to enterprise culture and mental civilized construction, we have been awarded the title of provincial civilized unit for 9 years in succession.
According to the development programme laid down by our BOD, the company will quicken the course of industrialization, internationalization and diversification. All staffs will work even harder to build the company into an outstanding enterprise with stronger strength in the next century.
